Crowns are indicated when the cavity consumes a majority of the tooth and a conventional filling will not hold. This prevents the tooth from cracking and allows your child to maintain normal function and health,

 

There are generally two types of crowns used with children.  A cosmetic, white crown is placed on all front teet and a silver crown is normally placed on all back teeth.
